Lesbian Sing-along (2014 - 2016)

During my work with the project I'm Every Lesbian in Malmö I came across stacks of songs that was written and sung at the lesbian camps that were an important part of the political lesbian movement in Scandinavia during the 1970ies and 80ies.

I decided to arrange a lesbian sing-along where different generations of lesbians and queers could meet share and learn these songs. The first event in 2014 was a collaboration with MYCKET, Lesbisk makt and Acéphale and was arranged in Frihamnen in Gothenburg. I was very happy to be contacted by musician Emma Lagerberg who wondered if I needed a lesbian house band - which I off course did! This first time the following musicians played:

Electric guitar: Marie Hagberg (Kvinnoväsen)
Drumset: Ebba Wigren (ill wicker, Sallyswag)
Violin: Emma Lagerberg (Lyset i forsen and ill wicker)
Accordion: Larisa Ljungkrona (AWILAS,Tranotra, Holmes, Skavlan/Ljungkrona)

Song: Pia Goldman (artist, film maker, mma athlet)
Base: Kajsa Poidnak (Pfemme, Rome is not a town)
Saxofon/piano: Kristin Rosendahl (Skrammel)

Since then me, Emma Lagerberg, Kristin Rosendahl and Ebba Wigren have held sing-alongs at The Museum of Ethnology in Stockholm, at Västerås Art Museum, at Borås Art Museum, Dramatiska teatern in Gothenburg and at Marabouparken in Sundbyberg.
