Sunday Night Spells (2023)

Working with the film, I have thought a lot about the connections between play, ritual, art and queerness. Children's games, religious rituals and artistic practices all offer space to understand oneself and the world and to create meaning - individually or in community with others. At the same time, they can be ways to explore what could be possible and to fantasize about it together.

The film was made on behalf of Gotland's art museum and in collaboration with a group for trans youth at the Fenix youth culture center in Visby.
